Tell us about your business/organization and what makes you stand out as an employer?

We offer door-to-door transportation for anyone in Digby County. We are a registered charity which means we do subsidize rides for those with financial constraints. We offer more than just transportation, we assist with finding funding for people, we assist with bags and shopping if needed, we also are sometimes the only interaction that our passengers will have in any given month so we are the listening ear and social interaction they crave.

How many employees do you have?

4 full time office staff, 20 drivers and 4 volunteer cars

What do you look for in a new employee?

Reliable, good attendance record, compassionate people, good driving history, open to volunteering for a good cause, good listener.

What advice would you give someone who wants to work for your organization?

This is the job for you if you like to work with the public, are looking to help those in need and don’t mind waiting while people are at appointments or shopping.

Do you anticipate hiring in the next 6 months? If so for what types of positions?

Yes, we have a fleet manager that we will be hiring for as well as we are always looking for more drivers so we can efficiently serve all of Digby County. We will also be looking for 2 summer students.

Tell us about your business/organization and what makes you stand out as an employer?

We are a growing business supplying print and promotional products to local businesses and often businesses outside the area. We also specialize in one of a kind gifts, clothing and awards for the general public. Digby Print and Promo is an exciting place to work for the right person. Every day involves a new job and often a new challenge, well suited to a person who gets involved in their work and thinks creatively.

How many employees do you have? 2

What do you look for in a new employee?

Enthusiasm, respect for the customer and our business. Willingness to learn. Ability to work independently when required and as a team when required. Attention to detail.

What advice would you give someone who wants to work for your organization?

Come prepared to learn and do all aspects of the job, show enthusiasm, listen to and interact with the customer and your co-workers. Be prepared to learn a lot of new skills.

Show up looking like you respect the business and the customer, dress appropriately.

Do you anticipate hiring in the next 6 months? If so for what types of positions?

Yes, general duties including production and design.
